About the Retreats
Beyond Standard Retreat Centres
Most meditation retreats offer recorded instructions, scripted teaching, or facilitators who haven't completed the path themselves. At these retreats, you receive direct guidance from an awakened teacher who can see exactly where you're stuck and point you through.
Rohan combines movement and sitting meditations with non-dual transmission – working with concentration practice and pointing directly to your true nature that's prior to all techniques.
This is not learning new beliefs or techniques to accumulate. It is an unveiling – stripping away what obscures your true nature, so what has always been present can be recognised.
What Makes These Retreats Different
Direct Guidance from an Awakened Teacher
Unlike retreat centres using recorded teachings or rotating facilitators, you work directly with Rohan throughout. Up to four interactive Satsangs daily plus individual check-ins address your specific obstacles – not generic advice. With over a decade of publicly documented teaching, Rohan's credentials are verifiable.
Practice Meets Transmission
These retreats honour traditional meditation methods while going beyond technique into direct recognition. Both concentration and insight, method and transmission – supporting your unveiling.
Small Groups, Global Sangha
Limited numbers ensure personalised guidance. Seekers join from across the world – USA, Europe, Singapore, Australia – creating intimate community within a supportive container.
What to Expect – Online Retreats
Most participants join via Zoom from their home. Transmission works equally well online – students report the same depth as in-person work.

- Silence encouraged between sessions
- Individual guidance as needed
- Join from anywhere in the world
What to Expect – In Person (Western Australia)
For those able to travel, in-person retreats are held in the Margaret River region, approximately 3 hours south of Perth. The natural beauty of the South West supports inner stillness.
- Up to 4 x 1.25-hour interactive Satsangs with Rohan daily
- Noble silence encouraged, deepening as the retreat progresses
- Individual guidance sessions as needed
- Optional integrative practices (yoga, conscious breathing, movement)
- 2x wholesome vegetarian meals prepared by attendees
- Time in nature to integrate
Full schedule provided before each retreat.
Is This Right for You?
Our retreats suit seekers who:
- Have some meditation experience (or have attended Satsang)
- Are serious about awakening, not just relaxation
- Want direct teacher guidance rather than recorded instruction
- Can commit to full participation and inner honesty
New to this work? We recommend attending weekly Satsang first to experience Rohan's teaching style and ensure retreat is the right next step.
This is not a spa retreat or wellness getaway. It is deep inner work in a supportive environment. Retreats are for those ready to prioritise awakening – not spiritual tourists seeking a peaceful escape.
"Experiencing what we are beyond the body-mind is the highest and most beautiful attainment available. It has become my life's work to share the truth of being with those seeking deeper dimensions of love and reality."
– RohanCommon Questions
How is this different from Goenka Vipassana?
While rooted in Vipassana, these retreats include live teaching and personal guidance from an awakened teacher. Goenka courses use recorded discourses with assistant teachers who haven't necessarily completed the path themselves.
Here you work directly with Rohan – someone who has attained what Goenka's teachings point toward and can see and address your specific patterns. Rohan attended Vipassana retreats in Brookton near Perth in the 1990s during his own seeking, and now shares these techniques combined with direct transmission.
Does online work as well as in-person?
Yes. Transmission works equally well via Zoom. Students from across the world – USA, UK, Europe, Asia – report the same depth of experience as in-person participants. The silence you create in your own space, combined with Rohan's presence via screen, creates powerful conditions for seeing.
Do I need prior retreat experience?
Not necessarily, but some meditation practice is helpful. Attending Satsang first is recommended so you're familiar with Rohan's approach before committing to an intensive.
If you are very emotionally challenged or unstable, this deep inner work may not be suitable. A Satsang meeting with Rohan is beneficial prior to your first retreat.
Is there silence during the retreat?
Noble silence is encouraged and supported – many find it transformative. The silence naturally deepens as the retreat progresses and the mind settles.
Online participants often maintain silence in their home environment. In-person attendees find the group energy supports a natural quietening without rigid enforcement.
What about health conditions?
Please discuss any physical or mental health conditions before booking. Retreats are intensive and may not be suitable for everyone. No drugs or alcohol are permitted. We want to ensure the experience supports your wellbeing.
What's the payment and cancellation policy?
A 20% deposit is required to secure your place. Deposits are fully refundable up to one month prior to the retreat start date.
Payment plans available: weekly automatic transfer (retreat price + 10%) or PayPal "Pay in 4" (four instalments). Payments processed securely via Square.
Early bird pricing available – deposit must be paid within 28 days of initial contact. Bookings after this period incur 10% increase.
Are there other ways to work with Rohan first?
Yes. If a multi-day retreat feels like too much to start:
- Weekly Satsang – Multiple sessions weekly via Zoom
- Private 1:1 Sessions – Deep dive with personal attention
Rohan highly recommends starting with Satsang or a private session to establish connection before retreat.
How do I know this is authentic?
A fair question in a field filled with unqualified teachers. Rohan has over a decade of teaching publicly documented on YouTube – you can watch hundreds of hours and start to assess for yourself. It's never wise to blindly trust any teacher on face value; it takes time.
That said, seekers are ACTUALLY waking up with Rohan. This isn't a place for spiritual entertainment or collecting experiences. Students who have worked with multiple teachers consistently report a depth and simplicity here they haven't found elsewhere. The proof is in the seeker's direct experience.
