These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website innerpeacefoundation.org and all services offered by Inner Peace Foundation ("IPF," "we," "us," or "our"), including Satsang sessions, silent meditation retreats, intensive sessions, private one-on-one guidance, and online events.

By booking, attending, or participating in any IPF activity, or by using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Nature of Services

IPF offers spiritual teachings in the tradition of non-dual dharma, including meditation, self-inquiry, and direct transmission with teacher Rohan. These teachings are offered as spiritual education and personal exploration.

IPF does not provide psychological, therapeutic, medical, or legal advice. Nothing said, written, or communicated in the course of any IPF activity should be construed as medical diagnosis, psychological treatment, or professional healthcare advice.

IPF's teachings are for spiritual and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional psychological, psychiatric, or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Assumption of Risk & Informed Consent

By participating in any IPF activity, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

You engage in all IPF activities freely, of your own volition, and at your own risk. You understand that meditation, inner inquiry, and intensive spiritual practice can evoke strong emotional, psychological, or physical responses.

If you experience any physical, emotional, or psychological pain or discomfort during any activity, you will immediately inform the relevant facilitator and, if appropriate, cease the activity. You acknowledge that IPF staff are not qualified to diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness.

You acknowledge that a possible consequence of intensive inner work is that previously unknown medical or psychological conditions may arise or become apparent, and you accept this risk.

To the extent permitted by Australian law, you indemnify IPF and its owner, staff, and facilitators from any costs, claims, or injuries arising from or as a consequence of your participation in activities.

3. Health & Medical Disclosure

Because meditation and certain IPF activities should not be performed under certain medical or psychological conditions, you affirm that you have disclosed all known medical, psychological, or psychiatric conditions relevant to your participation, and that you have answered all health-related questions honestly.

You agree to keep IPF updated as to any changes in your medication or medical profile during the course of activities.

IPF accepts no liability for any adverse outcomes where a participant has failed to disclose a relevant medical or psychological condition.

4. Right of Refusal

IPF reserves the right to refuse entry to, or to ask any participant to cease participation in, any activity at any time if it is determined that the activity is contraindicated, unsuitable for, or not in the best interests of that participant. This may occur without prior notice or detailed explanation.

Where IPF initiates a refusal for a paid event, a full refund of any unused portion will be provided.

5. Retreat-Specific Terms

5.1 Preparation Requirement

All retreat attendees are required to attend at least one Satsang session with Rohan before the retreat. This gives you a feel for the teaching approach and helps ensure the retreat environment will best serve your practice. A refundable deposit secures your retreat place — the deposit amount is specified at the time of booking. After attending Satsang, you will receive an invitation to complete the remaining balance.

5.2 Emergency Contact

For in-person retreats, you must provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact at the time of booking or no later than 48 hours before the retreat start date.

5.3 What's Included

Meals, accommodation, and other inclusions vary by retreat and are specified on the retreat booking page. You are responsible for arranging your own transport unless otherwise stated.

5.4 Conduct During Retreats

Retreats are conducted in a spirit of silence, respect, and shared inquiry. You agree to follow the retreat schedule and guidelines as communicated by the facilitators. Use of recreational drugs or alcohol is not permitted during retreat periods. Mobile phones should remain switched off or on silent during all scheduled sessions.

5.5 Travel Insurance

IPF strongly recommends that all in-person retreat participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, medical expenses, and personal belongings.

6. Refund Policy

Refund terms vary by service and are displayed at the time of booking. By completing a booking, you agree to the refund terms presented for that specific service.

Retreat deposits are fully refundable if you or IPF determine that the retreat is not the right fit following your Satsang attendance.

If IPF cancels an event for any reason, a full refund will be provided.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service is not provided as described or fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of the refund terms stated at the time of booking.

7. Events Outside Our Control (Force Majeure)

IPF is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, bushfires, severe weather, pandemics, government restrictions, venue closures, power failures, or transport disruptions.

In the event of a cancellation due to force majeure, IPF will offer affected participants the choice of a full refund or transfer to a rescheduled event where possible.

8. Payments & Pricing

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Payments are processed securely via our payment processor. IPF does not store your credit card or payment details — these are handled entirely by our payment provider in accordance with PCI-DSS compliance standards.

9. Recording, Content & Intellectual Property

IPF may record (audio, video, or both) events, retreats, and group sessions for educational, archival, and promotional purposes. By attending or participating in any IPF group activity — whether in person or online — you consent to being recorded and to the use of such recordings, and any content derived from them, on the IPF website, YouTube channel, social media, and other platforms.

This includes, but is not limited to, video and audio recordings, written transcripts of sessions, summaries, blog posts, social media content, and any other derivative works based on session content. Your spoken words, questions, and contributions during group sessions may appear in published transcripts or other written formats. While we generally do not publish participants' names or faces without specific permission, your words and voice may be included in published content.

If you do not wish to be recorded or have your contributions published, please inform the facilitator before the session begins and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

Private one-on-one sessions are not recorded unless both parties expressly agree beforehand.

Participants may not record, photograph, or livestream any IPF session, retreat, or private meeting without the express written permission of Rohan or IPF.

All content on the IPF website — including written teachings, transcripts, video recordings, audio recordings, images, and course materials — is the intellectual property of Inner Peace Foundation or its content creators, and is protected by Australian and international copyright law. You may share links to IPF content freely. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or repurpose IPF content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

Teaching transcripts published on the IPF website are auto-generated from live sessions and may contain minor inaccuracies. They are provided as a reference and do not constitute a verbatim or authorised text.

10. Website Terms of Use

You may use the IPF website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that may impair the website's performance or availability.

Information provided on this website is relied upon at your own risk. IPF disclaims liability for the consequences of anything done or omitted in reliance upon this website or any interaction with IPF, to the extent permitted by law.

While we endeavour to keep information accurate and current, we make no representations or warranties about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the information on this website.

This website may contain links to external websites. IPF has no control over the content of those sites and accepts no responsibility for them.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), IPF's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your participation in any IPF activity is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

13. Changes to These Terms

IPF may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If Terms are updated between the time of your booking and the time of your event, the Terms in effect at the time of booking will apply to that booking.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
