In This Video:
Anger-fueled activism, particularly in environmentalism, debilitates your ability to create value and pollutes the collective consciousness. The most effective response to a global crisis isn't protest; it's organizing large-scale meditation to calm the pervasive neuroses. True change comes from doing the inner work. By sorting yourself out first and anchoring in love and peace, your presence becomes a lighthouse, influencing millions from a place of profound stability, not reaction.
- In what areas of my life do I use anger as fuel, believing it is a necessary tool for change?
- What would it feel like to fully trust the intelligence of life, rather than fighting against what is?
- If my inner state truly ripples out into the world, what quality of consciousness am I contributing right now?
TRANSCRIPT
[00:00] I've seen some very angry environmentalists. Man, if they think that's helping, they're debilitating their ability to do something valuable and they're sending a negative consciousness into the planet which creates more negativity. [00:17] Oh yeah, trust the earth. It's very, very intelligent. [00:26] If it needs to shake itself, it will shake itself. If you wish to declare a climate emergency, I suggest you organize a very large meditation group. [00:39] Calm everybody down. Get the neuroses down. Get everybody into love. [00:51] The whole consciousness gets adjusted and more people doing it, the faster it adjusts, the more care gets taken. [01:15] I used to be very emotional about it all too, but this is the answer. [01:37] Each day you go to work, you go in there with calm and peace and you do what you can in a peaceful manner. Let's relax, surrender, let it go. [02:31] They say one awakened being covers the karma of 2 million people. Consider this. [02:45] So even if you're just getting close and doing the work, it's influencing. If a few people wake up here, that's profound. That's really creating a lighthouse. [03:20] You sort yourself out first, then you can be effective on many levels.
GLOSSARY
-
Negative Consciousness
The collective energetic field created by reactive states like anger and fear. This teaching posits that contributing to it, even for a 'good' cause, amplifies global suffering rather than resolving it. -
Neuroses
The habitual, reactive patterns of the mind. In this context, the frantic energy and fear often seen in activism, which undermines clear and effective action by originating from a place of agitation. -
Awakened Being
An individual who has realised their nature prior to the thinking mind. Their stable presence is said to have a disproportionately large, calming effect on the collective consciousness, resolving unseen karmic patterns. -
The Work
The practical application of self-inquiry and Inward Engineering to see through and dissolve the egoic structures and conditioned patterns that cause suffering. It is the core of this teaching. -
Karma
Not a system of cosmic reward or punishment, but the momentum of conditioned cause and effect. An awakened presence introduces a pattern-interrupt, dissolving karmic momentum for many.
Q&A
-
Is it wrong to be angry about climate change?
According to this teaching, anger debilitates your ability to create effective change and adds more negative consciousness to the planet. The recommended alternative is to act from a place of calm, peace, and love, which is more powerful and constructive. -
What is the most effective form of spiritual activism?
Rohan suggests the most practical and impactful action is to organize a very large meditation group. The intention is to calm collective fear and neuroses, addressing the root of world problems by elevating the consciousness from which they arise. -
How can one person truly make a difference in global issues?
The teaching states that 'one awakened being covers the karma of 2 million people.' This means that by committing to your own inner work and achieving a state of peace, you become a 'lighthouse' whose stable presence has a profound, positive ripple effect on many others.
