This Happens After 99% Of Spiritual Awakenings

Broadly speaking, the glossy magazine version of all this is you sit in front of a teacher, and he gives you some big beautiful noises about you being nobody and smiles radiantly. [00:00:37] But why do these glorious flashes rarely hold? Most people have a flash, get to see it, and then drift away again. I saw this with Papaji. Many came, had a glimpse, and left. Some that ended up teaching gave such crazy, straight advice that everyone was just getting flashes again and no one was holding it. [00:01:02] That's the YouTube version. It's bullshit. This is a raw, gritty thing. Beautifully raw and gritty. You're dealing with the truth, not the romance version of it. [00:02:54] At the deeper levels, it's no longer gritty. At the deeper levels, it's no longer raw; it's just purely isness. On the way there, it's pretty raw. [00:03:26] The experience can wobble up and down, sometimes drastically. But awareness hasn't moved the whole time, from prior to your birth to long after your death. It remains identical. Unmoved. No opposite. Just staying.

  The romanticised, glossy portrayal of spiritual awakening seen online, which often hides the raw, unstable reality most people experience after a glimpse.
• Flash
  A temporary, often intense, glimpse of non-dual reality or satori. It's a common experience but distinct from the stable, abiding state of Direct Realisation.
• Holding It
  The state of abiding in realised awareness, where an initial 'flash' has stabilized into a permanent recognition of the Substratum, beyond the wobble of experience.
• Isness
  The simple, direct, and unmoving quality of Being itself. It is the pure presence or Substratum that remains when the raw, gritty layers of the process fall away.
• Wobble
  The natural fluctuation of emotional and mental states that occurs even after glimpses of awakening. Seeing the wobble clearly without identifying with it is part of the process.
• Enoughness
  The fabricated sense of completeness the ego seeks from the world. The teaching reveals this is a flawed search, as true sufficiency is found in the Substratum, not in external validation.

• What happens after a spiritual awakening flash?
  For many, the initial flash of awakening fades. This is a normal part of the process, not a failure. The romantic 'YouTube version' of permanent bliss is misleading. The real work is learning to abide in the unmoved awareness that was present even during the flash, which is a raw, gritty process.
